around town LA: Childhelp honors Four Seasons’ Beverly Cohen with Woman of the World Award, Fashion Show & Luncheon
The Childhelp Los Angeles Chapter celebrates its 55th Anniversary and Woman of the World Award Luncheon today Wednesday, April 30 at the Four Seasons of Beverly Hills. Four Seasons co-owner, Beverly Cohen will be awarded Childhelp’s Woman of the World title for her tireless volunteer work, business and philanthropic efforts that have spanned almost 3 decades throughout the Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and Orange County communities.
Emmy Award winning journalist, Shaun Robinson will MC the event (Host of Access Hollywood, NBC Nightly News, Today, MSNBC, CNN, The View, etc). Robinson is also a devoted Childhelp advocate and volunteer.
The luncheon and fashion show will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel on 300 S. Doheny Drive with a champagne reception and runway show by G Haute Couture of Beverly Hills (gowns and celebrity fashions) beginning at 11am.
G Haute Couture celebrates significant beauty with exquisite, wearable pieces of art that transform spirit and shape. The collection features evening gowns, cocktail dresses, custom lingerie, and wedding gowns that could be found in any fairy tale to-real-life, or royal wedding.
Childhelp exists to meet the physical, emotional, education and spiritual needs of abused, neglected and at risk children. The organization focuses primarily on advocacy, prevention, treatment and community outreach. Co-founders Sara O’Meara, and Yvonne Federson started the organization in 1959, establishing it as the leading national nonprofit dedicated to helping victims of child abuse and neglect.
